Shipping policy

We aim to dispatch orders within 5 working days from receipt of your order. Sew Joyful is based in the UK, so please be aware that there may be processing delays during UK Bank Holidays.

Some items are available to purchase on pre-order. These items will have specific dispatch times detailed on the product listing.

Please double check your delivery address is correct to ensure your order is delivered to the right address.

UK
We aim to send orders via Royal Mail Tracked 48 however sometimes we may use an alternative shipping provider or service. Parcels are usually delivered within 2 - 5 working days after dispatch, but may take up to 7 working days during busy periods. Royal Mail should contact you with an exact time and date for your delivery, either by SMS or email. Shipping is £3.95 with free delivery within the UK on all orders of £50 or more. 

International

For international shipping, we aim to send parcels via Royal Mail International Tracked however sometimes we may use an alternative shipping provider or service. Shipping times are provided as a guide only. Royal Mail aims to deliver European parcels within 3 – 5 working days, and international parcels within 5 – 7 working days. Please note that items may be delayed by your local customs, which may affect your delivery times. Unfortunately this is beyond our control.

International shipping is set at a flat rate of £15 for Europe and £25 for Rest of World. In some circumstances, we may need to add on additional postage costs depending on weight and size of the parcel but will contact you about this.

Any import VAT, customs taxes or handling fees that may be applied are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are likely to be payable on receipt of the order; they should be checked with your local authority before purchase as I am unable to help with any errors made by local customs. Your order will not be able to be delivered until any charges have been paid.

Lost parcels

It is very unlikely for parcels to go missing, it is more likely that they are delayed in transit. We will be unable to offer a replacement or refund until the following time has elapsed after the expected delivery date:

  • UK - 11 working days
  • Europe - 25 working days
  • Rest of World - 32 working days
Undelivered parcels

If an order is returned to Sew Joyful undelivered due to it being unclaimed, because customs / import fees have not been paid or an incorrect address has been entered at the checkout I am unable to re-send free of charge. You will be entitled to a refund for the original order (minus the original shipping cost), or you are able to pay for it to be sent again.
