Punch needle embroidery is a modern form of traditional rug hooking that creates continuous loops or flat stitches on a backing fabric. Depending on which side you punch you can create either lots of texture or a more neat and detailed piece. You can use this technique for wall hangings, cushions, rugs and anything else that you can dream up!
This small punch needle includes three interchangeable needles that can be adjusted to different heights.
Small needle = 1.5mm diameter, ideal for 6 strand embroidery thread.
Medium needle = 2.5mm diameter, ideal for doubled up 6 strand embroidery thread.
Large needle = 3mm diameter, ideal for fine yarn.
The small and medium needles are best used with an even weave cotton/linen fabric. The large needle is suitable for use with 12-14 count Monks Cloth available in my shop.
This punch needle is quite small with the handle part measuring 7.5cm (3 inches) in length.
Made from metal and recycled plastic.
Includes one handle, three needle tips, one pouch and one threading wire.
